KENSINGTON APARTMENT

A beautiful historic existing site in Kensington London. The client wanted a contemporary finish using neutral tones seen in Scandinavian interiors whilst preserving its heritage. Unfortunately, the previous occupier removed most of the historic detailing found in these town-homes, so our goal was to restore these details.

 

The final scheme featured a light and soft interior using Scandinavian detailing such as wicker chairs and the use of pine wood. We chose black detailing to contrast the bright space, and we maximized the amount of light passing into the space, by widening the doorway between the kitchen and main living area.
